Trillium Project - Overview

Trillium Foundation Logo Ontario Trillium Foundation, an agency of the Ministry of Culture, works with others to make strategic investments to build healthy, caring and economically strong Ontario communities. (For more information visit www.trilliumfoundation.org.) Ontario Trillium Foundation has committed to help Squash Ontario attract more youth to the game of squash. The three year outreach initiative will expand and enhance squash programs for youth and make more squash facilities available to them. The goals of the program can be summarized as:

Introduce the game of squash to as many young people as possible as a fun and social way to be physically active
Make as many squash facilities as possible accessible to young people who want to learn and play the game of squash
Broadly communicate with and to parents about the health risks of inactivity to their children

Squash Ontario

Squash Ontario Logo Squash Ontario was founded in 1976 and incorporated as a not for profit association in 1978. It is the largest squash association in Canada with over 160 member facilities and 80,000 squash players. Governed by a volunteer Board of six members, the organization is responsible for the administration, co-ordination and promotion of squash in Ontario.

Mission Statement: Working to provide "an environment in which the sport of squash can thrive, by offering quality services and innovative promotion to ensure that the needs of both the current and potential players are met".
